ETIKA BISNIS
Apa yang anda ketahui mengenai Etika Bisnis? Etika sendiri menurut saya ialah sebuah sikap, dimana hasil penelusuran yang saya dapat dari arti bahasa yunani Ethos yg mengandung arti adat istiadat, kebiasaan sehari-hari yang terjadi dalam lingkungan tertentu, yang berkaitan langsung dengan nilai-nilai atau aturan-aturan hidup dengan kebiasaan masyarakat dari satu individu kebanyak orang, dari kata bisnis sendiri dapat mengandung arti suatu kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh individu atau kelompok-kelompok untuk mencari keuntungan bersama yang dijalankan dengan kelompok dari sebuah individu menjadi sebuah kelompok bisnis dengan disertai kedisiplinan dan moralitas yang baik. Kedisiplinan itulah yang disebut sebagai etika bisnis dalam berbisnis. Etika bisnis sendiri menurut pandangan saya ialah sebuah tata cara pergaulan yang baik antara sesama manusia. Etika merupakan filsafat atau pemikiran kritis dan rasional mengenai nilai dan norma moral yang menentukan dan mewujudkan dalam bersikap dan berperilaku hidup manusia baik secara pribadi maupun sebagai sebuah kelompok.
KASUS YANG TIDAK BERETIKA BISNIS
Raksasa perangkat jaringan mobile Ericsson melayangkan gugatan terhadap pembuat ponsel Samsung Electronics. Gugatan ini diajukan karena Samsung dituduh telah melanggar hak paten. “Kami sudah melayangkan gugatan hukum kepada Samsung terkait pelanggaran hak paten di Amerika Serikat, Inggris, Jerman dan Belanda,” kata Ase Lindskog, juru bicara Ericsson. Menurut Lindskog, pihaknya telah melakukan negosiasi besar dengan Samsung terkait pembaharuan lisensi. “Kesepakatan mereka dengan kami telah berakhir sejak 31 Desember tahun lalu,” ujarnya lagi. Masalahnya, Samsung masih memakai paten ponsel yang tidak berlisensi lagi. Ketika dikonfirmasi, juru bicara Samsung di Seoul masih enggan mengomentari masalah ini. Entah iri atau ingin menjatuhkan rival, yang jelas kasus pelanggaran paten dan perlawanan legal lainnya sudah sering bahkan biasa terjadi di sektor teknologi. Bisa jadi karena perusahaan telah menghabiskan banyak dana untuk penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D).
Selain Samsung, Ericsson juga pernah menggugat Qualcomm. Tahun lalu Ericsson pernah mengadu ke Uni Eropa karena Qualcomm dituduh telah ‘mencekik’ kompetisi di pasar chip ponsel. Kembali ke gugatan terhadap Samsung. Lindskog mengatakan beberapa paten teknologi yang digugat Ericsson kepada Samsung adalah GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications), GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) dan EDGE (Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution). “Ini adalah tindakan yang patut disayangkan, tetapi kami harus melindungi para pemegang saham dan investor kami karena kami sudah menginvestasikan banyak dana di R&D selama bertahun-tahun,” kata Lindskog.
TANGGUNG JAWAB SOSIAL PERUSHAAN
Tanggung jawab Sosial Perusahaan atau Corporate Social Responsibility (selanjutnya dalam artikel akan disingkat CSR) adalah suatu konsep bahwa organisasi, khususnya (namun bukan hanya) perusahaan adalah memiliki suatu tanggung jawab terhadap konsumen, karyawan, pemegang saham, komunitas dan lingkungan dalam segala aspek operasional perusahaan.
CSR berhubungan erat dengan "pembangunan berkelanjutan", di mana ada argumentasi bahwa suatu perusahaan dalam melaksanakan aktivitasnya harus mendasarkan keputusannya tidak semata berdasarkan faktor keuangan, misalnya keuntungan atau deviden melainkan juga harus berdasarkan konsekuensi sosial dan lingkungan untuk saat ini maupun untuk jangka panjang.
CONTOH KASUS
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — Sebuah bangunan di kawasan pusat perbelanjaan Tanah Abang, Jakarta Pusat, Rabu (23/12/2009), roboh. Sejumlah orang diduga tertimbun reruntuhan bangunan tersebut.
Petugas Traffic Management Center Ditlantas Polda Metero Jaya yang dihubungi Kompas.com, Rabu, mengakui adanya peristiwa ini. "Kami mendapat laporan dari masyarakat dan masih harus menceknya. Petugas sudah meluncur ke lapangan," kata dia.
Sementara itu, menurut keterangan Safari, petugas Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran Jakarta Pusat, jembatan penghubung tersebut roboh sekitar pukul 10.20. Diperkirakan ada beberapa orang tertimbun di reruntuhan karena saat kejadian telah banyak masyarakat yang berbelanja.
Saat ini, dinas pemadam telah mengirimkan empat unit rescue ambulance dan satu unit mobil pengangkat puing, belum termasuk delapan unit mobil pemadam kebakaran yang digunakan untuk bantuan evakuasi. "Untuk Jakarta Barat pun akan mengirimkan mobil unit pemadam kebakaran," k

Tanggung jawab Sosial Perusahaan atau Corporate Social Responsibility (selanjutnya dalam artikel akan disingkat CSR) adalah suatu konsep bahwa organisasi, khususnya (namun bukan hanya) perusahaan adalah memiliki suatu tanggung jawab terhadap konsumen, karyawan, pemegang saham, komunitas dan lingkungan dalam segala aspek operasional perusahaan.
CSR berhubungan erat dengan "pembangunan berkelanjutan", di mana ada argumentasi bahwa suatu perusahaan dalam melaksanakan aktivitasnya harus mendasarkan keputusannya tidak semata berdasarkan faktor keuangan, misalnya keuntungan atau deviden melainkan juga harus berdasarkan konsekuensi sosial dan lingkungan untuk saat ini maupun untuk jangka panjang.
CONTOH KASUS
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — Sebuah bangunan di kawasan pusat perbelanjaan Tanah Abang, Jakarta Pusat, Rabu (23/12/2009), roboh. Sejumlah orang diduga tertimbun reruntuhan bangunan tersebut.
Petugas Traffic Management Center Ditlantas Polda Metero Jaya yang dihubungi Kompas.com, Rabu, mengakui adanya peristiwa ini. "Kami mendapat laporan dari masyarakat dan masih harus menceknya. Petugas sudah meluncur ke lapangan," kata dia.
Sementara itu, menurut keterangan Safari, petugas Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran Jakarta Pusat, jembatan penghubung tersebut roboh sekitar pukul 10.20. Diperkirakan ada beberapa orang tertimbun di reruntuhan karena saat kejadian telah banyak masyarakat yang berbelanja.
Saat ini, dinas pemadam telah mengirimkan empat unit rescue ambulance dan satu unit mobil pengangkat puing, belum termasuk delapan unit mobil pemadam kebakaran yang digunakan untuk bantuan evakuasi. "Untuk Jakarta Barat pun akan mengirimkan mobil unit pemadam kebakaran," k
